Dirndl No. 4 reloaded

Ich habe dieses Dirndl schon vor eineinhalb Jahren genäht. Als ich es das letzte Mal getragen habe, ging's danach ab damit in die Waschmaschine. Dabei habe ich nicht bedacht, dass die Froschgoscherl-Borte dabei kaputt gehen könnte.

Doch leider ist genau das passiert und meine Seidenborte ist in sich zusammengefallen und war nicht mehr zu retten.

Also blieb mir nichts anderes übrig als die Borte abzutrennen und eine neue aus einem Seiden-Organza-Stoff zu nähen, der seine Form auch nach dem Waschen noch beibehält.

Leider habe ich keinen passenden Stoff in dem grün gefunden, deshalb wurde es eine pinkfarbene Froschgoscherl-Borte.

Dafür habe ich dann das Satinband ausgetauscht; anstelle von rosa gab's dafür ein grünes Bändchen :-)

Ich habe mir dieses Dirndl auf einen Petticoat genäht.

I sewed this Dirndl-dress one and a half years ago. The last time I wore it and put it into my washing maschine. I didn't think about that my silk border could be damaged by doing this.

I had to do a new one with the right fabric, an organza, which can not break.

The only fabric I could find was a pink fabric, so I changed the satin band in a green one :-)

I sewed this Dirndl-dress on a petticoat skirt.

This was the damaged border

I used a pink organza

I pined the border on the dress

I sewed at the middle of the border

Then I hand sewed the border together for that special look which is famous for bavarian Dirndl-dresses

Yesterday was the perfect bavarian party to wear the dress together  with my husband's vest, 

which is my creation too :-)

I wore the damaged border as necklace, an idea which came spontaniously into my mind!
